I was just wondering today how many members carry at all times. I should say do you carry when you are doing yard work, little odd and ends around the house (outside) etc, etc..
I was cleaning leaves around the house and I was CC and I thought am I over doing the CC thing. The way I see it is that you should always be ready,BG are not going to send an e-mail as to when their are going to snap!

Carry in MA |

Massachusetts is a 'May Issue' state, yet it seems a lot of members from that state have their permits to carry. My understanding is that it was difficult to get a permit in MA... Does it matter where you are in the state? If you are from MA, how did you get your carry permit?

Bars, alcohol and lawful concealed carry |
|

The subject of bar carry has interestingly been a split decision item for 2A supporters.
In a handful of states it's a lawful act to do so such as in of all places MA (!).
Many other places around the nation though it is an unlawful act to do so.
Then there is VA and the 'VA tuck' requiring open displayed carry only.
I have and do carry everywhere I can as when ever I can, lawfully.
Last night I got a call from the husband of the director at the pre-school where my daughter used to go, and my son will be going next year. His wife is also at my invitation a new board member among the community volunteer organization that I am chair and president of.
He heard from his wife that I like to go out and do guy stuff, including play pool and watch movies.
All truths.
He noted that he and several o f his friends from his zone, 2 towns and 30 minutes away, would like to do same and was wondering if I'd be... [Read More]

Any way for GA resident to CCW in SC? |
|

I have scanned through the laws, the forums, the handgunlaw.us and as far as I can tell, there is no way for me to legally carry in South Carolina. I live on the state line in Georgia and often have business there so it would be very beneficial to carry.
If I have read properly, SC will only grant a non-resident permit if you still own property in SC but reside in another state. Also, they do not honor any other state non-resident permits.
So, short of buying property in SC which I am obviously not going to do, have I missed anything that would qualify me for a permit?

Why would I need an outstate permit? |

This thread may exist already, but for the benifet of the newer folks on the forum, what is the need for a CHL from another state? Are there advantages and disadvantages to haveing multiple? I live in TX and, though I dont have mine yet (please pm me if you are a CHL instructor in the Houston area ), i realize that a TX permit will allow carry in most states though not all.
Please add comments. Thanks
