I have two 3-Speed holsters and about ready to order a third. This is one of my favorite CC holsters. With my three, I have all my CC carry needs covered.

Looks like smart carry has some good competition!
If I were in the market for this type of holster, this looks reasonable.

New to shooting and should be receiving my TX conceal lic shortly. Wanted to avoid holsters and belts that limit what you can wear. I am retired and in decent weather wear mostly drawstring shorts, or elastic band shorts or Wranglers. Wanted an easy system to start off with. came down to three Ramora Clipless (Price is right , but i think not), Tactipac "Fusionpac" (price a little up there but has a strong Kydex holster) and 3 Speed. I original had concerns about setting a 40 cal over the family jewels. Safety though is the responsibility of the user. Whether it rides just above beltline or below, or even on my strong side.... I think 3 speed is my choice.

Its been a well over a month that I have been using my 3Speed Holster. I am new to shooting. Last November 2012 my buddy misterfats123 took me to an indoor range. we spent a good part of two hours there covering gun safety, grip and trigger pull. I worked with his wife’s Charter Arms 38 Special, Ruger SR9C and his Ruger SR40C. I was really impressed with the SR40C. within in two weeks i purchased one at a gun show. (It seemed the whole world had purchased guns that week, since it took two weeks to get the background check and I picked up my gun. Since then I took a basic handgun class and a CHL class. Had about ten hours of range time. Now i have my CHL. I needed a holster. I looked at a few non conventional rigs. Remora, Sticky, Tactipac, Smart Carry & the one i picked, 3Speed Holster. I wanted a system that was easy and self contained. I wanted to be able to wear it in not only cargo shorts but drawstring shorts. I ultimately decided on the 3 Speed Holster. I just like their concept and construction. I had sent an email to their main man Joe Roger asking about how well this system would work on a fatter than usual person. He reassured me that it was not just made for skinny people and that there was a no questions asked return policy of 30 Days.

Upon receipt of it i wore it around the house (unloaded) the first week to break it in (Safely). There is a section that were the thumb goes into the holster will form a groove (he refers to this as the draw cone).

After that first week, I started carrying my weapon with the 9+1 in chamber, and the 15 round extended magazine in the built in carrier (Note:Ruger has a base extender for the 15 round mag, I do not use it).

Though it is mainly a deep conceal (meaning totally in your pants crotch area) I personally like having it right in front just above the belt line. I am wearing the holster from the time I wake up till I go to bed.
My wife after three weeks asked me “Have you worn your gun yet” I lifted up my shirt and told her… I have had it everywhere for the last three weeks !

I have had only one weird stare from a neighbor (He’s a Postal Worker, go figure, but he said nothing, but his eyes where in the right spot). The only drawbacks I have is I had to buy some tank top type Tee Shirts (They make a big difference with the Velcro Straps) I am going to experiment some with wearing it at close to 3 o clock, but there is no cant so I doubt it will work well, but i am curious. I also need to get new jeans. With the holster my jeans become too snug I need a few extra inches in my Wranglers. I usually wear the holster for at least ten to twelve hours. Only once did it give me a slight irritation. I wore it at the NRA convention in Houston, I was doing a LOT of walking , and felt my holster might have been slipping. I tightened the Velcro strap just a little too tight. So I received a slight blister on my back from friction and sweat.

I really like this system. If you don’t mind holstering a gun over your family jewels, it works very well. I suggest you go to their website and watch their video, or go to Joe Rogers YouTube channel and watch their additional videos there.

This is my primary conceal holster.

I like the versatility of what I can wear, don't have to have pants cinched up with a stiff belt, but can wear sweat pants, basketball style nylon shorts, as easily as jeans with a traditional belt. I also ordered mine with an ID pocket so if I out and don't need or want to carry my wallet I can securely carry my ID and CHP in the holster, along with maybe some cash.

From a safety standpoint, it retains the gun very well, and while the entire holster is pliable, which makes it comfortable, it securely protects the trigger. I cleared my gun and tried my best to pull the trigger even with the holster off. Can't do it, and I'm absolutely certain that if something did actually move the trigger, it would not engage the trigger safety on my XD.

Welcome Aboard 3 Speed Holsters, we appreciate Sponsoring Vendors!
(*Kennydale, the Remora holster isn't intended to be a "belt less" alternative.)

Many thanks, it would have been embarassing to have my shorts fall down. This fall I might try out a more conventional AIWB holster with a decent belt. Thinking Either a Little Foxx, Foxx Trapp, or a Midway Harrier.

I think I ordered mine and got it after you.. are you still waiting or something?

I had one made for my Chiappa Rhino. It says they can't fit speedloaders, just speed strips... BUT.... the extra space put in for the speedstrip, I can actually put a speedloader in there just fine, so it works for me :-) Love this holster.

G-d, Make me fast and accurate. Let my aim be true and my hand faster than those who would seek to destroy me. And G-d if today is truly the day you call me home, then let me die in a pile of empty brass.

I have been very interested in this holster for a short while since it was so well praised by some. My concern with the ID pocket is how do you get your ID or money or whatever out without exposing the gun?

I am also curious how it would sit on someone who has a Michelin sized spare tire around the waist. Last time I tried a Sticky holster in front it almost killed me to sit down, so I can't imagine that it would be comfortable until I lose a good 70 to 80 pounds.
