I was taught that it was TABK
Treat every weapon as if it is loaded
Always point the muzzle in a safe direction
Be sure of your target and what is beyond it
Keep your finger outside the trigger guard until ready to shoot
Bad bad boy Mr. Deputy. On the bright side, at least we know he can hit what he's aiming at.
My class was through a military buddy of my father's and it just consisted of me, my good friend, and my brother in law. He had us leave all our pistols in the car and checked himself to make sure they were cleared. He then "confiscated" all our ammo. While we were down range qualifying, he held all the ammo and regulated how many rounds we were given for each "task".
