Why is this woman pointing a gun at her forehead?

I find this VERY odd. I saw this at the top of the page from an advertiser. I would never suggest anyone put a gun in this position for any reason other than suicide.

Aimed at an angle to her forehead...

Not disrespecting the rules. Making an observation of poor gun handling that we ALL should be vigilant of.

I think Hiram25 is talking about safe gun handling rules, not forum rules...

I don't see the gun pointing at her head. The slide is resting against her forehead. There is a thing that looks like it's pointing at her head, but it looks like a scope or flashlight, I can't tell.

The girl is a model and this is probably the first time she held a gun and doesn't know the first thing about gun safety. The ad agency is probably just as ignorant of gun safety as she is. I wonder how the purchaser of this add let that one slip

Much ado about very little. The woman is working. Her job is a model. Penthouse and other skinrags have shown women putting guns in much more compromising places than that. People gotta make a living. The rest of us don't have to approve of what they do.

how many horrifying violations of basic firearm safety do we routinely see on television or in movies? print media is no different IMO. it would be nice if that were not the case though. I saw a guy try to shoot his Vaquero at a range upside down. The safety officer said the guy told him he saw it in a movie and wanted to try it.

I suspect that if it were fired from that position it would be a very unpleasant experience.

Do you see a gun? Is the gun in a position you would recommend as safe gun handling? If the gun were fired it's so close to her head I'd bet it would blow off some of her hair. Do you see that?

It's irregardless if it's leaning with the barrel or the muzzle's pointed at her head, it's equally STUPID and UNSAFE.

Yes I see the gun. Yes it might burn off some of her hair if it were loaded and happened to go off.
I still do not see a gun pointed ant her head. Close does not equal pointed at.
