New Job
Technically, it's my first full time job. I'm graduating college with a mechanical engineering degree in May and I just signed the paperwork this afternoon.
I will be working in the department that makes the metal links for machine gun belts for the U.S. government. Talk about a sweet gig!
I'm just so thankful I'm done with job applications and interviews!

Congrats! I guess the old adage of "mechanical engineers make weapons, civil engineers make targets" really is true.

It's good you found something you like to do, it makes the daily grind more bearable.

Congratulations! My nieces and nephews are all graduating with good degrees and are having a heck of a time. I really feel bad for young folks hitting the market right now.
Great job!

Congratulations.
For finding a job.
And for wanting to work.

Congratulations! Even with qualifications, good jobs are difficult to come by in today's job market. Best of luck!

I must say I am severely jealous, although I am very happy for you. I graduated last May with a civil engineering degree, and I have yet to find anything. I'm currently working at a local HVAC company and Best Buy to make ends meet. Although I'm not where I want to be, I am extremely grateful for the two jobs that I do have. Many people can't even find one. Again, congratulations, and share the luck

Thanks for all the kind words guys!
Now I just have to figure out what self defense tools are actually legal for me to have in my car since its a military base. Anyone who frequently works on a base knows all the security requirements that go with that.
