My dad rushed to the emergency room in Maryland

I just got word from my step-mom that my dad was having shooting pains and numbness in his legs. He was rushed to the emergency room and they are there now. My step-mom will let me know when there are any more details, and if I need to go down. Hopefully it's something small.

Right now I need prayers. Thank you.

Maryland has some of the best hospitals on the east coast. I wish your father the best.

    Prayers going out.
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

Prayers for your dad and you. May God use this to remind us all how desperately we need Him.

It turns out he has a bulging disk and needs surgery to have it fixed. How he did it I'm not sure, but at this point he is hospitalized. Thank god it's nothing super serious and can be treated.

That's good news even though it's bad, it can be fixed.

That would have been my first guess. I ruptured a disk back in '96. They ended up fusing L4, L5, and S1. Now I'm stronger than ever, even though it was 14 years ago.

Wish him luck during his surgery (if they go that route). He'll be back on his feet in no time, and fully recovered hopefully within months.

Back problems are so painful and annoying. Hope his surgery goes well and makes a full recovery

There is something about firing 4,200 thirty millimeter rounds/min that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Not that a back problem is anything to laugh it, but I'm glad to hear it wasn't anything worse. Best wishes for your dad's surgery and a quick recovery.

Good luck to your Dad. We will keep him in our thoughts and prayers.
Don't do things you don't want to explain to the Paramedics!

    Stupidity should be painful.
