    My Grandfather died this morning.

This morning my Grandfather died in his sleep. He was having health issues for the last few years but it is still a shock.
My Grandfather gave me my first "real" gun. It was a NEF single shot. I still have it to this day, I'll never part with it. My Grandfather was also licensed CCW and was the first person to encourage me to get mine as well.
I remember him taking me fishing and to the gun range to try out new guns as a youg man. I'll also never forget when he took me to Bass Pro Shop for the first time. It was so exciting seeing all the wildlife mounts and of course the giant fish tanks BPS is famous for.
We'll all miss him very much but we know he is sitting in heaven with God and His Angels.

I am sorry for your loss. My wife's Grandfather died this morning as well. I am happy that we got to speek a little to him yesterday, and share some very nice memories that we had.

My prayers are with your family; take care.

Very sorry for your loss. Without a doubt, your grandfather had many positive influences in your life. Because of that, it is especially hard on the heart to deal with not having a good friend around to share experiences with.

However, the memories you have, no one can take away. And the memories you have are of better times and better days, for sure.

Your family is in my prayers tonight. My deep condolences for your loss.

Well tell your wife I feel her pain and thank you for your support. He will be missed but I don't feel empty. He gave me many memories.

To all who have posted their concerns I thank you very much. Somehow I knew I'd receive support from you guys. Thank you.

Sorry for your loss and for Claybreaker0's loss. Prayers going out...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

They say when a Grandparent passes, a library of life burns; from your description of your Grandad, one can easily see he was no exception.

Please accept our condolences for your loss.
