I was saddend to hear of his passing. Being a cancer survivor myself, I know what it's like to go through. My heart and my prayers go out to him and his family.

Bob "acparmed" Ford search
I never met Bob Ford (acparmed) in person. When he had been diagnosed with stage IV cancer, it was almost too late to take the opportunity to meet him in person. When he passed away, it was too late. I will always regret that I missed that opportunity.
After he had been diagnosed it seemed we had something else in common. I wrote him a PM about my beating cancer and offered him encouragement. We spoke many times over the next few weeks. He told me on more than one occasion that "cancer came looking for a victim but didn't even find the right zip code". We made plans to meet when he got back from Tulsa where he was going to have his treatment plan drawn up. He was determined that he would beat it. Despite his determination, he lost his battle with cancer on June 24th, 2006. The forum lost a great Senior Moderator with a lot of wisdom to share in guns, tactics, concealed carry and life in general. We lost a friend.

Good God!! :(
I take a break for a while from the boards and something terrible happens. This is sad indeed. I have always enjoyed acparmed comments and witticisms. He will be missed . . .

I had no idea. Although it's a bit late, I am genuinely distressed to learn of this untimely event. Bob Ford, aka "acparmed" was a fountain of knowledge and wisdom. May we all aspire to be half of what he was.
Every time I run a magazine of .45 hardball through a 1911, I will think of him. Farewell my friend, if only I'd known you better.

I'm sorry I arrived too late to get to know Mr. Ford.
Just today, I was reading some thread and noticed a post written by him and thought to myself how reasonable the poster seemed, and how intelligent. And then I noticed this thread, and the idea that "acparmed" is the man who is memorialized in "Bob Ford's Place."
And now I see the photo of him indicating that he was a fellow aviator... and I'm bummed that we've lost him.
Blue Skies, Mr. Ford.
