    RIP Cody Prestwood

Retired Deputy Sheriff Cody W. Prestwood 78, passed away 8/29/10. A Marine Corp./Korean War veteran, Cody served as a Deputy Sheriff for Valencia County, New Mexico for 45 years.
I had the pleasure and honor of working with Cody for 21 of those years. There were many ocassions when I counted on Cody to watch my back and I am alive today because Cody was always there for me.
Rest in peace old friend and colleague.

It sounds as though he was a great man of character, who you knew would be there no matter what.

They say the mark of a true friend is someone who is there for you, when they would rather be almost anywhere else.

Some of us are thankful for men like Cody and yourself for serving in some capacity or another.

God bless him and his family, and you and yours automatic slim
