    Parents/Grandparents worst Nightmare

I just received notice that a guy I attend meetings with had a granddaughter that was struck and killed by a hit and run driver.I hope they catch the worthless SOB before he runs into Mexico to hide.Probably drunk or high on drugs or both.Too bad they don't give out the death penalty for people who willingly drive under the influence and kill somebody

I agree - drinking and driving should constitute pre-meditation; if you drink, drive, and kill someone, that should be murder in the first degree - death penalty. Period. End of discussion.

*sigh* The world would be so different if I were in charge...

My thoughts go out to the family, and I pray that justice is appropriately served.

Our hearts go out to them and you. It is such a tragedy when someone so young is taken so needlessly. Like you I hope they catch the clown and exact the harshest amount of justice allowed. I know that amount isn't much but one day they will stand in front of the ultimate judge and then all their accounts will be balanced.

What a horrible thing. What's sickening, is that it didn't have to happen.

    This is becoming an epidemic.

    This in Taylor mi. http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/24973320/detail.html

Man Charged With Murder In Officer's Death
Nino Edward Delpiano Accused Of Fleeing After Hitting Taylor Officer

And this one early this morning, in Hazel Park Mi. http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/24978177/detail.html

Granted these two were being careless, but still, ya gotta, shoulda stopped!!

I think a lot of times in a hit and run, the person involved is so in shock of what happened they go and whig out. there should be a grace period, of say a few hrs. to turn oneself in, or something. IDK.
    Definitely sad.in the OP's post.
