    Losing my home...

Well I need all you prayer warriors to pray for me again... looks like I'm losing our home. We just can't get a break and recover from 14 month of unemployment prior to me finally finding a job.

My request would be for enough time to pack up 27 years worth of stuff, get rid of a lot of stuff and save up the money for a place to rent that will accept my two dogs.

God is good so I know this will work out.

    Thank you!

Google search "Ways To Delay Foreclosure" & "stalling foreclosure" etc.

There are reportedly lots of things that you can do to legally delay and buy yourself time.

Also...if you're old enough possibly look into a reverse mortgage.

I'm sure that some of our real estate members will have some suggestions.

My sincere concern for you and best wishes that the future be better. I know someone who was just fired after 22 years with the same employer. No notice. There at 10 A.M., gone at 10:30. Suddenly no job and 900 bucks a month additional expense for the Cobra scam.

Until the 80% of us who actually work for a living rise up and demand better labor laws, people will continue to suffer as you are now. This recession has harmed older workers particularly badly.

You have my prayers, sympathy, and sincere good wishes. Look into what QK wrote if you haven't already, and keep on chuggin. I used to keep a sign in my office that said, "never give up." NEVER GIVE UP!!!

You have my prayers also. My ex is in the same boat. She is applying for disability and her husband can't or won't find a decent job. She is ready to lose the house where we raised our two sons (27 and 25 now). I will keep all in my prayers.

I think you should take QKShooter's advice in post #3. I don't begin to know the ins and outs of all that's happening with home forclosure now but I don't think you should give up until you have pursued and exhausted all avenues if you haven't already done so. My heart goes out to you and anyone else who is facing this. Thinking of the mess the country is in now I'm mad as hell and powerless to do anything about it.
