Exclamation Friend Kidnapped in North Texas

Not sure where else to put this but for the numerous members in Texas please be on the lookout for a red 2004 Infiniti G35 coupe, Texas license plate is X86 NMP..

A good friend of mine was kidnapped early this morning sometime after she left work at around 1 AM. Here's a link to a couple of news articles. If anyone happens to see a car matching the description, please call the Dallas Police Dept. immediately at 214-671-3584, the Denton County sheriff's office at 972-434-5500 or the Double Oak Police Department at 972-355-5995, or just dial 911.

WOW, I'm sorry, I thought that when I hit this thread, there would be a punchline, I hope all turns out well.

These are often very bad situations with grim results, as you no doubt are well aware. And all anyone can do is pray and keep a look out. I will be praying for a happy conclusion, PR.

I'm assuming she was not a person like us here, who believes in carrying a gun. We are way in the minority in that regard. Very sad thing to happen just before Christmas.

if i were driving, and being held hosdtage, i would slam my car into something at high speed...some of the stupid comments by some on the news siights are pointless...I don't say this often, as I figure god has plans beyond my point of view, but I'm praying for her.

One of my biggest fears is that my wife is off somewhere in danger and I sleep through her calling me.

Please update, if I was in TX I would be driving the streets looking for her or her car...

    I'm speechless.

There have been some excellent ideas given here on how to not become a victim. These include:
    • Situational awareness
    • Leave room to escape when stopped
    • Check your surroundings when stopped
    • Secure your weapon rather than leave on seat
    • Check your car when entering to ensure no one is inside
    • Carefully approach your parked car to ensure no suspicious vehicles/people are parked next to your vehicle
    • Keep doors locked and windows up when stopping
    • Keep doors locked when parking car to deter someone entering and/or give visual clue of forced entry.

I hope this helps. Stay safe!
