NO ONE , should take the OP"s post lightly

a friend of mine (42 yrs old, never been sick, perfect health and shape) ... went for 2 weeks trying to "shake" the flu, and it wasn't going away. He finally decided to stay home from work the 3 days before Thanksgiving, essentially giving him a week to get bed rest and get over it . The 2nd day, his mother could not get ahold of him, so they went over there. He was found in a coma, and taken by ambulance to the hospital. Two days later, same situation.... so on Thanksgiving day the life support was disconnected.

In his case, they treated him with complete "quarantine" ... no one handled him with out full suits, room was totally disinfected, etc. Even people at the mortuary had to wear full suits. They had tested and tested him and never could identify the "flu" or what it was..... but exactly the same thing happened to him. All they knew was , it started like the flu, then into the glands in the neck, and from there went right up and into the brain.... causing brain swelling , etc.

I've known of other cases that have happened as well. Don't "assume" it's the normal flu, and don't let your Dr disregard everything too easily either.

My PRAYERS go out to the family. May GOD comfort them in their time of sorrow...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

    Very sad.
Unimaginable pain and sorrow to carry.
My condolences and spiritual support extended to their family.

A parent should never have to out live their child.

    Prayers out.

I can't even begin to imagine their pain. I will certainly pray for them.

I am in tears reading this. I just can't imagine the pain the parents are going through. My heart and prayers go out to them.

There is nothing worse than the loss of an innocent child. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this.

Funeral was today at 10AM Central. Me and the kids had to stay home, we have the flu. My wife went. She said the funeral was delayed by 30min because police and fire had the parking to the church blocked. Something had exploded next door. It's now about 2PM and funeral is still going on. Lot's of friends and family there. Everyone is still in disbelief this happened.
