Officer Richard Shipley. E.O.W. 04/07/2011. R.I.P.
I am sorry to be posting yet another line of duty death on here from Indianapolis. Officer Richard Shipley of Blue Line Security died from a massive heart attack on Thursday night as he was making his patrols. His final words to the people he worked with were "I'll be back to check on you all later." Seconds later his heart failed and he collapsed. Medics worked for an hour and a half trying to restart his heart but were unable to resuscitate him. Funeral arrangements are still being made but it is being tenitivley planned for Wednesday. Officer Shipley is a retired police officer and a Marine Corps veteran who continued serving his public and community even after he retired. Thanks for serving brother and I am sure heavens streets are safer with you on patrol there now.
