Very sorry for your loss.

Hey Gunny, he's not hurting anymore. You did good for each other, you gave him a good home, and he gave you a lotto love. He couldn't have done any better any other place on earth, glad you found each other.

GunnyBunny if I was there with you I would cry with you, I am so sorry for your loss but always remember by you loving that dog and giving him a warm bed every night to sleep in and fresh clean water, you made him the happiest you possibly could and probably gave him 5-7 years longer to be on this earth.
I accidentally ran over my own dog in the driveway in 2005 and to this day I never got over it, we went to the animal rescue and got another dog and he is now 10 so one day in the not so far future I will have to suffer again.
Your heart is hurting now but it will get easier everyday and I know you would never trade the memories for the heartache you are enduring now.
My heart aches for you and your family as well.
I am sorry to hear this.
It sounds like he was one lucky dog to get rescued by you at 10. Inspirational for a beautiful Sunday morning.
So sorry to hear of your loss. I had a Gus also (springer spaniel rescue). He also was known as Gussie, the G-man and was the "enforcer" of rules with our other spaniels even though he was smaller than them. Truly, it never gets easier as each one is a different kid to you. They are all up there chasing rabbits, squirrels, pheasants and quail and never getting tired, just waiting for the reunion with their masters. God Bless..

Been there, done that. Have walked with many good furry children down that path. Try to remember the good and funny times, they will help carry you through the pain.
Some will say "it was just a dog". To those that understand, no explanation is needed. To those that don't, none will suffice.
Try to keep busy. I hope each day is a little better than the last.
Many of us have been there and will be again. So sorry to hear hear of your loss. The hurt seems to equal the love we have for them and them for us. Take comfort in the knowledge that he experienced love in your home.
Sorry to hear this. I wish you the best.........
My faithful old four-legged friend is close to death (cancer), so I know the exact feeling. I have shed many a tear already.

Thanks "retsupt99" that was not even for me and I'll say thanks. I had trouble reading all the way to the end though, something in my eye.
"Gunny" I know words mean very little, but I'm sorry.

I just wanted to say a big Thank you to everyone who offered their condolences to us for our Gussie. He was such a good dog and will be missed. We know we did the right thing but our hearts still miss him. xoxo
Very sorry for your loss, I have lost 3 in the last 3 years as well.
