    Found out today I was selected for promotion...

    ...to Lieutenant Colonel...two years above the zone (that is, two years after I was "in the zone" for promotion). I got great support from my leadership here (Col to 3-star) who went through my record with a fine-toothed comb, righted some wrongs by a petty gov't civilian, and put me in the best position for selection this year. But a lot of the credit goes to my NCOs and junior officers who made the missions happen, and the senior NCOs who gave me the mentoring to make me a better leader.

    I wanted to share with the folks here, because when I'm not working or with family, you guys are here.
