    Update on Scotty (Arachnoid Cyst)

    The headaches have settled down to a constant dull pain that he has learned to deal with. They gave him a pain chart at the hospital the last time we were there that goes from one to ten and has smiley faces with varying degrees of pain evident in their faces. He says his is a near constant 3. Not terrible, and surely not as bad as the spikes that went up to 9 or sometimes 10 but the thought of him living with a constant level of pain, any level, is not something i like at all.

    we are still scheduled to see the Neurologist on the 20th of July but may find out next week if we can get in a little sooner.

    Mike, at least that's an improvement. I am all too familiar with that "smiley face" pain chart, having spent 4 months on the wrong side of it last year. Kudos to your young man Scotty for dealing with the situation stoically and bravely. I'm praying for enlightened doctors and an end to this ordeal for your whole family.

    I hate anybody being in pain,but I suffer from chronic pain with non narcotic meds its kept at about a three,but I can remember a lot of years at 7 or 8,3 ain't so bad,I hope they find a way to take your sons pain down to zero without meds
