Ex's BIL Abducted and Killed
Officials: US court interpreter killed in Mexico *| ajc.com
My ex-wife's brother in law, or my daughters uncle was abducted and murdered. I am saddened and mad. He was a man I respected and unfortunately this story doesn't paint him in a good light since he apparently was "dating" a dancer which was 17 when they met and he 52. That lapse in judgement should [not] be a death sentence. Thats what makes me mad.
Over the years of me travelling into and out of the AOR some would ask about the safety of Baghdad or Kabul, dangerous to be sure but Juarez has been the deadliest city in the world for a few years. Here he is going over there at least once a week for years.
Pray for the family he leaves a wife and two disabled boys.
A side note on the MSM, if you just read the AP story with the photo you are told that the family refused to pay the ransom and was killed. In the Atlanta Journal they reported this:
Even after Dieppa was killed, they continued negotiating the $10,000 ransom with family members. When asked for proof of life, Cano tried to imitate the voice of Dieppa but the relatives did not believe it and refused to pay.
