Thanks everyone, the concern and prayers are appreciated.

Still rough, but only 14 more radiation treatments to go. Radiation Oncologist sprung it on me Monday that they are still considering chemo if the full body scan a month after the treatments are over shows anything left. That was not encouraging news......
I sure hope these treatments get everything.

Did make it to the gun show last Saturday, it was great to have a break in routine and do something different for a change. Walked around for a bit, found a chair and watched folks while I rested, then repeated it over and over so I wouldn't get too tired.

Did manage a trade of my Kimber Ultra Carry II for a Kimber Tactical Ultra II, it's an upgrade that I am very happy with. Staying with the same size means my CT grips and holsters all still work, that made the wife happy after she asked why I needed ANOTHER pistol.

After my treatment in Abilene on Monday, I went by the indoor gun range I belong to and put 100 rounds through the tactical.... now that wore me out ! But.... I did leave with a smile on my face, LOL !

Hi Dave - great you made the gun show - even better you managed the upgrade - oh and went shooting too.

I'll bet that all was the best therapy in many days

Hang in there some more and I for one, as many will too - hope fervently this ordeal will finish up with that check showing all clear, as you do.

Been a while since I've posted an update, so here is the good news.... I'm down to just five radiation treatments !

Yep, completed number 35 yesterday. These last six are back to the left groin area and re-targeting the individual lymph nodes that were bad. I was glad to finish the abdomen series, lots of real nasty side effects from those.......

I'll see the Oncologist again on the 11th of September, he'll set the date for the next full body nuke scan. If any cancer cells remain, he will recommend chemo to start right away. If not, I'm good to go for six months until the next scan.

Appreciate the prayers and concern from so many here.... the prayers do appear to be working !

Good to see the last of those in sight Dave - what a long haul, not to mention all the side-effects you have had to deal with.

Fingers well crossed for 11th - a six month sojourn free of treatments must seem more than attractive!

Good to have the update - thank you.

Thanks for the update, Dave. Glad for you that the miserable side effects of the abdomen series are gone. Unpleasant enough to contemplate, but absolute torture to go through. Keep us up to date, especially with the 9/11 results.

    You remain in our prayers.

I'm still confident you can beat this, despite all you've been through, Dave. Keep the chin up and know we're all rooting on the sidelines!
