Know the difference between Major and Minor surgery? If it happens to the other guy it is MINOR. If it is you it is MAJOR.

Honey, I'm home.
Got home yesterday about 5:00PM and went straight to bed.
Made a couple of bathroom runs during the night and managed to sleep in til about 9:00AM.
The surgeon said all went well and that I can expect some pain over the next few days. So far, he's right on the money. Thank God for narcotics.
Thinks I'll pop a couple right now and wash them down with a couple of shots of Grey Goose. JK!

Welcome back! You'll be doing crunches and situps in no time. I know that everything feels like crunches and situps, now. Don't take so many pills and booz that you pop the site.

My son had it when he was 17 years old. He came up to me and asked, "has anyone ever died of a hemorrhoid?"
"What!?!?" I said.
Then he showed me. He confused hernia with hemorrhoid. After I stopped laughing, I learned that he had it since he was 12 years old and never told me. He was out for a few days but he healed quickly like other have said. He was back to normal after a month or so.
Hope you heal quickly.

Actually...I remember back when "kick-ass" cough medicine was narcotic mixed with alcohol and syrup.
One supposedly enhanced the effectiveness of the other.
Now they never mix one with the other.
Glad that you're back home & doing well.

Wow Gunny, here's hoping for a very speedy recovery.
I went and paid for a brain scan, however, they had to refund my money! Just kidding, a little medical humor for ya! Just take it easy and get healed up.

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery! I had put off having a hernia fixed for several years until my doctor told me that if the intestine got caught and pinched and didn't recede by itself it could lead to all kinds of serious complications. That finally got my attention and I went ahead and had the surgery done. That was several years ago. As luck had it, the NCAA tourney was on and I spent time watching basketball and recovering.

There will be a dangerous stage in your recovery where you are feeling much better and you'll be tempted to over do it.
Take your full two weeks.
Take life easy.
You do NOT want to re-injure!
So very glad you're home!
