Surgery tomorrow
I have been dealing with a broken foot (Jones fracture) all year. Walking boot, crutches and bone stimulator. Well, the bone healed, but 2mm apart. They are going to cut the bone in half, grind each end back to "live" bone and screw it together. Ouch, lol. I am ready to get this over with. It has been very frustrating. I will be on crutches for another 8 weeks and then hopefully, back to normal. Thanks for letting me rant. Wish me luck.
1st x-ray is my foot after 4 months of crutches , boot etc. Basically, nothing happened. 2nd is what it looks like after they put screw in

Ouch is right. Hope all goes well and you finally mend.

Prayers sent for you and the MD's working on you tomorrow. Keep us posted on how you're doing...sounds like you'll have quite-a-bit of free time on your hands.

Best of luck, hope all goes well! Talk about getting screwed!

'They are going to cut", is as far as I could read, into your post without throwing up.
Prayers sent for an uneventful surgery, and a speedy recovery

Good luck. When you're in pain, you can't wait to get cut on! My wife had back surgery three months ago (glue and screws) from a fracture incurred in a car wreck (not her fault). Her Harvard surgeon looked like he was about 20 years old, but did a great job, and she's almost back to 100%. You'll be dancing in no time.

Just found this and am hoping that you're "fixed." Hang in there.
