Your father lived a very distinquished life, full of adventure, emigrating to a new country, and raising a family to be very proud of, and for all of that, you, may now hold your heads high and be proud, of the man you call Dad.

Truly sorry for your loss, may his memories comfort you and bring you wonderful thoughts!

Sorry for your grief. It does sound like he lead an interesting life, a full life and was a good Dad. He can live on if you keep his memories alive the way you describe. In time your pain will turn to joyous memories.

Oh, GB, I am so sorry about your Dad. You were very blessed to have such a wonderful father. It sounds like he was the best of the best.

But remember - you'll see him again some day on the other side. He doesn't have to suffer any more.

    Dwell on the good memories.

    Your friend

GB: With all the awful stories one reads these days re. absentee parents, your recent "loss" was a real " gain" for many wonderful years. These memories will bring comfort to you and yours as the days lengthen into months and years. For now, the Power behind all living things is present for strength . And, as so many have related in the past and present, there will be days when you sense your dad's presence and you will smile. God Bless , my Friend.

What words of condolence can I find my friend? There are none.

All I can do is share in your grief and the wonderful story of a life that spanned nearly a century, filled with adventure, love and bravery. Truly he will be missed and the sadness you feel, though it will seem to pass eventually, will not ever leave.

My condolences, my prayers and my thoughts are for you today. May your father rest and find the peace he truly deserves.

Gunny, I offer my sincere condolences. What a blessing to have had a dad with such a rich and distinguished life! I'm sure you know what a path he set for you to follow, and now he's passed the baton to you.

May your sorrow be brief but your memories of your dad fond and everlasting. God's peace on you both.

Deepest condolences GunnyBunny. That is a phone call I dread. But I know at some point in the near future I will receive it too. My ad just turned 92 in June.
