Just a quick update on all of our family ills of 2011
2011 was a butt kicking year for us. Our son, Scotty had the re-occurrence of headaches we thought were a thing of the past, caused by an arachnoid cyst. Thankfully, after a good bit of treatment and some trial and error with different medications, he is now pain free. He may still require surgery in the future to correct the problem but for now I am happy to report that he is a normal 9 year old boy. He does everything his 9 year old fraternal twin brother does and has no pain currently. We thank everyone for the prayers.
My Dad was diagnosed with oral cancer earlier this year. He had surgery to remove the tumor and has been going through radiation treatments to ensure it doesn't come back. His last radiation treatment will be this Thursday, the 29th. He looks pretty rough right now, one side of his face is swelled and has a wicked sun burn look to it but he's hanging in there. Again, thanks for the prayers.
We look forward to the new year hoping that it will be better than 2011. But really, as all health issues have been dealt with in a positive way, we had pretty good luck in the end.
Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2012!

Thanks for the updates Mike.
2011 has been a "butt kicking" year, that is perhaps the most truthful statement I've seen for awhile. However, we do persevere and will survive.
Here is hoping the coming year of 2012 will be a much better one for you and your family.

Glad things are looking a bit better. Threads like this help keep me in check. Any time I have one of those "woe is me" or the rain cloud following me moments I can think back to threads here about guys that have had a much worse time than I lately. It helps keep me in check and reminds me to be thankful.
