Going "under" tomorrow - prayers appreciated.
Granted, compared to what others have been through on this forum, this is chump change. Having said that, my good living has caught up with me. My gpa dropped dead in his living room and my dad had a double by-pass. Being incredibly short-winded of late a little birdie landed on my shoulder reminding me of similar symptoms with my dad. So, had the EKG done and, sure enough, junk in the trunk.
Tomorrow (early Friday morning) they will run a camera up to my heart and decide if a) the balloon job, b) the roto-rooter job or c) the stent or d) a by-pass. If it's the stent or by-pass, I have to stay overnight. Seeing that I'd like to see my coming grandchildren (and my wife, of course) prayers would be appreciated. As I told one guy, when you go under, nothing is a walk in the park.
Thanks!
ps. do you think I should CCW while on the operating table?

Best of luck to you. Anesthesia is never fun, but necessary so that you can get better and see your grandchildren.
And definately carry while on the table, they have knives!!

Prayers coming your way my friend. Stay strong and stay positive.
I'd rather have my gun and not need it than need my gun and not have it.

Prayers sent my friend. You know the lord is the ultimate physician and through him all is possible. This is why you should never take life for granted. Get right with him today because we are never promised tomorrow!! This is why you have to love this community, prayers and guns all under one roof! Lol

Aznav,
Prayers sent. I'm confident everything will turn out well for you.
No don't CCW while on the table. Your hospital is probably a no carry zone.

Best wishes! Cardiac disease is one of the 'big three', in that it seems most people will experience symptoms or experience the disease. The good news is that they're not the killers that they used to be. The early detection and superior techniques (/drugs) means that people are more likely to get minor versions of the diseases and then can use diet & wisdom to extend their lives quite a bit.
And the technologies are just getting better, so it's somewhat a system of buying time! I just read a study the other day where they injected rejuvenating cells into cardiac patients and were able to decrease the size of the (non-functional) scar that happens after a heart attack. It's not a commonly available technique yet, but we can use wisdom to buy time (and even donate to the medical R&D charities, if you want the science to speed up) so that these newer technologies are available to help bridge us further into our grandkids' lives.
Heart study
If 'mental illness' is a main cause of gun-grabbing sentiments, then mental illness is the true enemy.
The March of Dimes worked. There's an opportunity there for being pro-active in defense of your rights.
Alternatlvely, please just actually give actual money occasionally.

Prayers for you and yours. Praying for good report, safe procedure, and speedy recovery. Concealed carry, maybe a fanny pack under the gown???
