Oh man, I used to always have a hard time being compassionate until I started placing myself in their shoes. My father is not battling cancer but I know that his time on this earth is limited. I get a lump in my throat and would not be able to speak just imagining what you are going through. I hope he was saved and you can look forward to his spending time with Jesus. God bless.

My condolences to you and your family.
The only positive from this is that your Dad didn't go through a long miserable process and passed in his own home.
Let me explain. My Father was a man who survived the sinking of 7 ships in WW II. He was a man who had great strength...both physical and of character. He was reduced to a man who couldn't walk across the room by that horrible disease. Towards the end he only wished to die in his beloved home. We were making arrangements to do so when he slipped into coma and we were not allowed to take him home. When I was going to pick up my daughter from school and then come back, I whispered in his ear, "Dad, I love you and we will be fine. Stop fighting and go to the light. We will see each other again." He died in that half hour I was absent. He came to the end of that journey of pain he was on (and the family in a lesser way traveled with him). I miss him every day.
Remember the good times and there is a blessing that he didn't travel that road...as well as your family. The good times are much easier to remember this way.
God Bless you and your family.
God Bless you all.
Remember the good times.

I think it's a wicked injustice when a father dies of something like this. It's a theft, is what it is.

We will be much better off when we learn to deal with things as they really are, instead of how we wish them to be!
