Congrats Ret. I was surprised that on both my retirements how I left no discernible ripples in the workforce pond. Within hours it was like I never existed. My ego was pinged but I came to realize that I'm not so important after all. It was a good thing for my soul. Now I look back and can't imagine being obligated to appear at some work place every day. Activities seem to multiply without my intervention. The good news is that these activities are ones I WANT to do.

Every time I start talking about the "old" days I think to myself "big deal, what have you done lately?". It puts my feet back on the ground.

    Congrats and best wishes.
