First Day of My Second Retirement...

Well, today was one of those bittersweet days...I started my second retirement.
I retired once in 1999 (as per my profile)...moved to FL and in a short time got into school admin again...I've had enough.
If I ever start talking about schools again, someone please send 'Tony and Vito' to convince me otherwise.
Yesterday afternoon I walked away from my campus with mixed feelings, but the tears and sad feelings soon passed (about 30 seconds, I think )

Hooray, now I live with my only boss...

    Just thought I'd share.

Will do, ret... I don't know Tony and Vito, but I do know a Timmy "tommy gun" Scapoli and Vinnie "the wrench" Fiorella, so I'll send them your way for an "attitude adjustment," if the need ever arises.

    Congrats on the "retirement."

You were tired, and now you've done it again, so you're retired. Enjoy the time you have earned and spend it doing things you love and with people you love. Next time I'm heading to your neck of the woods, we've got to get out and do some stuff. I've been looking for some good golf courses your way if you have any recommendations.

I left with the idea to do something else for awhile..... and then asked myself why ? Do work for myself now though, with a small business and working the farm. Got to stop doing as much as I do there, and act more retired.... doing the things I would rather be doing.

Congratulations on the second retirement, and thank you for your service to our "young people". It seems that has become a tough job today, I'll bet you gave them a taste of the "old school" of teaching.

Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME.

Congrats. I'd also like to thank you for your service. Think of all of the differences that you made.

I can only hope the generation that follows can fill your shoes.
