Pretty that our Founding Fathers intended for serving as a Congressman/Senator to be a privilege and not a career. Makes me sick that 2/3 of our US Legislative Body lists their profession as "Law". How can a bunch of lawyers represent the will of their constituents? It sickens me that they make $100K+ a year, have the best pension (full pay for life, regardless of terms served) and the top-notch healthcare. They can make laws that apply to everyone except themselves.
Does anyone else see this as a total perversion of a Democracy?
While this is pretty light on the political scale, given the current political climate it's probably to put a ka-bosh on this one now.
