So sorry to hear that she waited that long to do something.

    Prayers sent.

Several years ago my dad lost some weight and was starting to look skinnier than he did already.
My sister had just left from a visit with him and my mom, and called me crying. She said she told my dad she was concerned of his weight loss and wanted him to look into it. He was in his early 70's at the time.
She said he told her, "ehh, don't worry about it, I'm an old man, I probably got cancer and it's probably too late to worry about it.
{he comes from a family who always looked at hospitals as places for sick people, who never made it outta' there},

I called him and asked whats the story?
He gave me that same line he gave my sister.
I told him "dad, you know what I think? I think your going to look awful stupid laying in a casket, dead of something that was cureable".
Told him that I loved him, and his grandkids still needed him around, as they were too young to loose their Papa.
My sister called me back 15 minutes later and said "I don't know what you said to him, but he told mom to call the doctor the next day and make an appointment for him".
Turned out he had diabetes, and once he got that under control he was very much improved.

BugDude, hopefully they caught it in time.

We've already had that conversation. Her Dad's sister has had it too. Terrible disease.
