Lost my nephew yesterday.
My severely disabled nephew died last night. He was not supposed to make it into adulthood. My sister has asked me to perform the funeral on Thursday in Albany, NY. Prayers would be appreciated! I love my sis dearly, but we are on opposite polls in regard to faith issues. It's a big step for her to ask me. I would like to share the Hope we have in Christ for heaven and do it in a way that is not in your face or, the other side, "pie in the sky in the bye and bye." Hope this makes sense. I'm still formatting the service and the sermon. ALWAYS go to my DC friends for encouragement!

Sorry for your loss, man.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I'll be praying for your family. I'll also be praying that you'll receive the words that He intends for this service.

My sympathies to you & the rest your nephew's family. Rely on the Holy Spirit to guide you in saying the right words.
The one thing I'm absolutely positive about is your nephew is no longer severely disabled & I know he'll be celebrating Christmas with the Founder of the holiday.

We will be much better off when we learn to deal with things as they really are, instead of how we wish them to be!
