I feel like I lost a fight with a truck but all in all I'm feeling much better today. Fever is all gone and I was able to eat some food as well. I hope to be back to normal by tomorrow.

Hang in there. It'll be over soon but that foggy, disconnected feeling will probably linger for another day or two. Glad the worst is over for you.

Indeed. Uuuuugh. I, my wife, and our infant son once all had the flu at the same time. It was horrendous. I was running
104 fever. My wife similar. Kid similar. A neighbor let the three of us lay down in the back of a van and she drove us
to the quack, who of course could do nothing much for us. I thought I was going to have to beg to have us all hospitalized
just to have someone to take care of the kiddo.

Just as I was about to call the doc and tell him we can't take care of ourselves, let alone the infant, a couple we hadn't seen
in years unexpectedly turned up at our door to visit. I think they had driven about 1000 miles to surprise us.

They took over taking care of the baby while my wife and I quietly suffered through it.

That was 35 years ago and I have never since failed to get the vaccine.

Good luck--- its only miserable for a few days.

Too late for Vitamin C if you already have the flu. Don't bother.

Get some quality rest. Don't stay on the forum all night.

    Feel better soon.
Good G-d, I'd have to be on my death bed before I'd consider drinking that stuff. Do they still sell Gatoraide?

I've only had true influenza twice in my 22 years. The first time sucked but the second sent me to the hospital for my fever and inability to keep food down

Man, this thing just won't let go of me. I feel like I'm in flu purgatory. I'm not really REALLY sick like I was a few days ago but I'm not 100% either. I was planning on hunting the last day of PA deer season tomorrow but right now it looks like a little more than I can handle.

Sorry to hear that. I have been dealing with a respiratory infection and thought I could ride it out. I finally broke down and went to the doc the other day and the meds are doing the trick.

I hope you guys start feeling better soon.

    God bless,

timmy, I hope you're feeling better. Drink as much water and Gatorade as you can keep down. It's going to take awhile to get your energy back so just take it easy. Don't even think about going hunting tomorrow!

When you feel like it, go around with Clorox wet wipes and wipe down everything like ccw mentioned. Doorknobs, keyboards, telephones etc. Also, throw out your toothbrush and get a new one.

    Get better!

    I wish you speedy healing.

After suffering two separate bouts of flu in my youth, I became determined to do everything I can to avoid going thru it again. Both times, it felt like I had been run over by a truck.

Thus, I am now one of the first in line for my annual flu shot--and my wife has decided this is a good idea and she joins me. FYI, they are reporting that this year's flu shot is a good match for the flu that is actually causing this year's misery--90% effective.

I know that is no help when you are suffering but hopefully, this will be your last bout of flu for decades!
