Hey guys! Long time no see.

I know it's been a long, long time since I've posted here. I've been very busy over the past few years. I see some familiar faces here, and lots of new ones. I'm really happy to see how the forum has expanded since I "retired." QKShooter gave me a little smack upside the head, so here I am.

Let's see here. Got married, moved to a bigger house, multiplied a couple times, and am now enjoying being a mom. My oldest is three years old now, and while he's still too little to shoot, he knows he's not allowed to touch guns (not that I leave any out for him to touch) and is a smart little guy. He knows exactly why mommy carries a gun, and he says, "When I get bigger you can teach me." His little sister is only 9 months old, but I can tell she is going to run circles around him. I've decided she is going to be a ninja. Girls have to be these days.

My EDC now is a Colt Cobra. I work from home, so I need something light and out of the way, because I'm constantly on the floor, playing with the kids or picking up crumbs. The grips are heavily modified from the originals. I reduced the width and rounded them off nicely on a table sander. They fit my hands perfectly. The Cobra gets holstered in a Desantis "The Insider" at 2 o'clock. Very comfortable, and nobody sees it when I have to reach over. It gets paired with a Spyderco Manix II.

So hello everybody, great to see you again, and I will be around more.

    Thumbs up

I am happy that I gave her a smack on the head that was just hard enough.

"So hello everybody, great to see you again, and I will be around more."

That is absolutely the best forum news that I have heard in a while.

Just FYI ~ Many of our multitudes of recent forum members are quite new to firearms & Internet forums as well as "self & home" defense and so are not aware of the fact that Betty was (at one time) forum STAFF.

She also worked for S.W.A.T. Magazine for many years.

Work and life priorities (sadly) took her away from us but, on a happier note great past memories have remained ingrained.

Many of you have seen "the face of Betty" on numerous pro-gun - pro self defense - pro female firearm ownership - pro 2nd Amendment etc. etc. posters that have been floating around on the Internet for many years now.

So many of you have very likely seen her but, just did not know who that "person/female" was.

Anyway....this be she and she is always welcome back here at her Internet home.

Great choice on the COLT Cobra and I like your grip modification.

Do you folks remember that Betty had pet giant Tarantulas?
Did she have one or two?
My memory is not too very keen when it comes to giant hairy spiders that can shoot sharp irritating barbs out of their arses when they get ticked off.
