Gun control is hitting what you aim at
Yep, he's in the 224th ( I think) stationed at Valdostia, Ga. Just got back from Iraq for the 4th time. He had a buddy killed by a sniper this last weekend, he's going to leave for Arlington this weekend for the services Monday. He had a friend wounded this Monday.
Great lookin guy Philip - I can but imagine your pride.
This last week or two has been real bad for losses.![]()

He's had a bad last couple of months. The guys and girls in his unit are pretty close. I've had a chance to meet some of the people from his group the last month. All I can say each and every one of them are some very remarkable people. Very mature in lots of ways that some may never achive. But I love to see when the kid in them shines through, helps keep me young.
I'd agree on that - tho sometimes I feel ''things'' can over-accelerate them into premature degrees of maturity - tho the ''kid'' hopefully still endures. They have a lot to handle so often. All I can say each and every one of them are some very remarkable people.
I am reminded of my favorite Army ad on TV. Father opposite son - and he comments on how his boy has for first time shaken him by the hand and looked him square in the eye. The son just makes the most subtle of smiles .
Basically saying - "Yes Dad - I have grown up".
I am so proud of these young guys.

The one that really shook me was when he graduated and his grandfather and I went to see him. He was standing beside me and I didn't recognize him until he spoke to me. That's how much he had changed in his bearing and demeaner.
Let's see some of the other members sons and daughters. We are proud of them all.
Great photo tell him thansk for his service
I should have called this "Our Kids" let's see some of yalls kids.
Philip - to add to pics (another proud dad here!) - here are three - first is recent one of my dear daughter (still ''stuck'' in UK) and her little Matt. Then my son with his second, son Evan (daughter Camryn is 18 months now) - contrasty pic from a week ago, taken in a hurry.
Finally a pic some have seen - my step daughter who was on CCM cover last year
That's all I have right now to hand.

Chris, those are some kids to be proud of. We should name this "our kids". Don't have any pictures of my daughter on the new laptop. I helped raise her since she was two, and adopted her when she was almost four. I used to get all goofed up when I went to fill out medical information, forgetting her medical background wasn't the same as mine. lol
I have added ''our kids'' to the thread title![]()
