My Son Commissioned 5-12-13 USAF 2nd Lt

My Son, Steve, commissioned from Norwich University 5-12-13 as a 2nd Lt USAF. He's on his way to NAS Pensicols for IFS as a CSO/Navigator (Combat Systems Officer) He also has a BS in Civil and Envrionmental Engineering.
His first choice of his "drop" is the F-15E Strike Eagle, or the B-1 Bomber. He'll be there for about a year, and then onto his Base.
NAS Pensicola is a Joint Services training base.

Here's a couple pics of the Event. His Uncle, Former Lcpl Jim Butler, 2nd ANGLICO USMC gave him his first salute. Newly commissioned Officers (as seen back in the early 1800's had to "buy" their first salute, and then earn every one after that.
He Graduated/Commissioned along with 20 other USAF LTs that morning. Norwich had a Joint Services commissioning event later in the afternoon, with about 130 others including Navy/marines/ Army, and Air Force.

Congrats. May he have a successful and fulfilling career.
