I like the veteran picked to interview, an ordinary, quiet hero who suffered greatly then - and now as he thinks back.

I watched my yearly videos all this week - "The Longest Day" & "Band of Brothers".

The Greatest Generation really did the job in WW II.

At least a minority of stalwart citizens of this nation won't forget.

Too late for the majority of the nation's clueless, they've either forgotten or else were never even taught.

Words seem so worthless for such a valiant effort and cause...

Remembering, to me, is one of the ways in which we can help people who are so significant, live forever. Obviously it is only in a sense, but these are the folks that need never be forgotten.

    Lest we forget.

My wife will be discussing the day with her students. She takes extra steps to make sure her classes are well informed of history and its meaning.

We are forever in debt to these men. I will be taking the Garand out to send some lead down range this afternoon in honor. God Speed.
