Just offered my first job out of college as a Police Officer

I received the phone call this morning offering me the job pending drug screening and polygraph examination. I should pass both with flying colors. I am very excited and finally feel as though hard work has paid off!! Just wanted to let you all know.

Edit: sorry for poor grammar I am on tapatalk. Furthermore sorry for the typo in the title. It should read just GOT offered.

    Thumbs up

    Congratulations.

I turned down a job with Contra Costa Sheriff's dept when I got out of the Coast Guard. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have some regret.

Go make your part of the world a little bit better.

My congratulations to you! The job has changed a lot since I was a patrolman, but one fact remains constant....watch your "six", stay safe, and train all you can.

My g.son is considering Law Enforcement and the requirements are pretty stringent namely applying/acceptance to the Academy,
a rigorous physical plus the drug screening and background check. He's working on conditioning right now.

The OP doesn't mention any of this so I'm curious as to what is required to be offered a LEO position right out of school in Kentucky ?
