    Thoughts and Prayers

I had another recurrence with the skin infection. Started with the black widow spider bite the summer of 2012 on my leg. Got a bad antibiotic resistant infection. Last September, the infection returned in the same place and I had surgery. Now, 3 weeks ago it came back but in a different location. Not as bad, and didn't have to have surgery (just a minor procedure with weeks of daily follow up visits), but the most painful thing I've ever experienced. Excruciating for days, and ongoing daily doctor visits. The docs can't figure out why this keeps happening. I had a nasal swab this week and it came back negative, so I'm not "colonized." The other concern with it in a new place is the possibility of it being in my blood stream. I'm not having any symptoms, but still a possibility.

In any event, for those of you who are spiritually inclined I would greatly appreciate you putting in some good words for me. I live in constant fear that it will happen again and wonder where it will be next. If they have to keep cutting places out of me, I'm going to look like I went swimming with piranhas...or got attacked by a mad man wielding an ice cream scooper.

Our prayers are with you BigDude!
Are you sure it was a spider bite? A MRSA skin infection looks identical.

I have a similar problem for an entirely different reason. While I am not the most "spiritually inclined", I nonetheless hope that both you and I are granted relief from whatever entity it is that decides all.

I killed the spider on my leg and peeled it off. I felt the bite while playing golf and thought it was a skeeter. I smashed it and then saw it was a spider. The bite itself got infected with MRSA, which is now a recurring issue. First in the same spot a year later and now in a completely different area. This is bad stuff that I wouldn't wish on anyone. It's everywhere, and more persistent that a died in the wool antigunner.
