Please! Prayers for my buddy Otis

My best Buddy, Otis, the 10Yr old Maine Coon cat is VERY ill. he walks with me outside, heels, sits, shakes hands, rolls over.. Difficult to say the least right now.. I know the Power of Paryer is very compelling. I know it works.
Seems, when we took him for aear polup, he was given a anti inflamitory med named ONCIOR <sp> we brought him home, he seemed fine until tnext day Friday the 15th and he was acting like a dishrag. We called the Vet, brought him in, and he was in Kidney duress/failure (I read up on the med, and it does produce CRR in felines). Ok, we then called brought him in, and his urinary tract was distended, can't pee. Cathaderplaced in, and still he wasn't doing well. We took him ER on Sunday, and they took the Cath out, placed him on meds and sent him home with us.
TODAY, we're back at his original Vet,, back on th eCath with a drain bag to monitor urine flow. He had acouple small stones/grit in his bladder on Friday, and he still produced some grit today, BUT is holding his own right now. Still a LONG way out for recovery, 3-5 days at the Vet.
Best thing is, he's showing clear urine, and the cath is helping right now. Ate his first small meal today, since Thursday (couple teaspoon fulls) and is not in any pain (Thank God for pain meds)
Vet says she's encouraged to see his vitals are up, and x rays look ok, but isn't out of the woods by a long shot. Can't bear the thought of losing him!
Any and all prayers would be appreciated

I'm sorry to hear about your buddy.

My dog Rufus died of kidney failure because I was feeding him poisonous food from China.

Check to make sure you're not giving him cat food or treats that are made with ingredients from the Chi-Coms.

I pray that Otis is ok.

I have a boxer mix now who has helped me recover from 2 heart attacks and She will be my last when her time comes. They are so beautiful and nothing but unconditional love for you. Sorry something wrong with my screen its all blurry and I have to go.

Will pray for Otis to make a speedy and complete recovery. People who have never had an animal can't understand the attachment that develops. Loosing a 4 legged friend can be devastating. They give their love and trust asking only for nourishment, a kind word, a scratch to the ears and a comfortable place to sleep in return.

Just prayed for Otis and will keep it up. He is beautiful. Trust me, I know first hand how it feels when your fur babies hurt....you feel helpless and heartbroken. The fat lady has not sung for Otis yet, lets keep the prayers up. He does sound like he is doing better. Make sure you go by and visit him if you can, I did when my cat was in the vet for a day or so. They know when you visit and I think it does them good because they are scared too.

Thanks everybody!.....I have him on Iams select wet food.. He was a stray, on his own for about a year, and found a family who took him in. Lost most of his teeth, torn ears, and frostbite on one hind paw..(can ya tell he's a hearty cat?). That family couldn't care for him, and my Daughter took him to live with us and 2 other cats (Lucky and Peaches) Been with us for almost 2.5 years now..
The vet has him on Science Diet C/D Urinary tract Prescription food (just like the 2 others are) I'm hoping, when we see him tomorrow, he'll be a bit better. Vet says there's a procedure that can relieve his pressure, but it takes the tip of his (you know what) and they split it to make it look a little like female organs so he can urinate. That's may be down the road, but it takes a Specialist to do it.. I guess we'll see.....maybe some for sale items soon ....Members get first dibs..

Without getting myself into trouble, some men have an operation like that on purpose and have breast enlargements too. If human men can have this operation then I don't see why a cat can't. I just wouldn't tell him when you see him tomorrow. Still praying for Otis and you.

I was in love with a Redneck woman who called her F250 Otis. One of her cats looked like your Otis. She had been an Army nurse. She could seriously cook and bake up a storm.

Of course. Otis has got them coming from this cat lover in Colorado along with all hopes that he pulls through this with a return to good health.
