My jaw just hit the floor!
Few minutes ago I was happily watching the last episode of season 4 walking dead when during the previews a movie staring Channing Tatum came on about wrestling. About 10 seconds into the movie I saw a man with a beard portraying Channing Tatums brother in the movie. This is when the strings on heart started to get a few tugs and I started getting choked up.
The actor was portraying a famous wrestler Dave Schultz. This is very special to me because growing up when I was 8-10 years old the man that Channing Tatum is portraying Mark Schultz was my next door neighbor when I was living in Colorado Springs. Mark had already won two gold medals and his brother Dave was also a world champion and an Olympian. I remember shooting hoops on Marks garage door mounted basketball hoop with Mark and Dave. Mark had a large husky dog that use to crap all over his floor. I use to babysit and walk his dog, one time it peed on his brand new $500 VCR. Anyway, Mark was really into guns and actually HE is the reason I do what I do for a living.
For those of you that don't know the rest of the story Dave his brother was murdered by one of the DuPont family heirs. RIP Dave cannot wait to see your story.
Its not about guns...Its about Freedom!

I well remember this case. The Du Pont guy was a big financial supporter of the Olympic wrestling team and supported Dave and his so he could train full time. After my knees ended my football career I wrestled for a year before I gave up collegiate athletics so I always followed US wrestling. Dave and his brother Mark were superstars.
I to look forward to seeing the story. Truly a tragic tale. The Du Pont guy died in prison not too many years ago.

I'll be looking forward to it. I LOVE wrestling. It's the ultimate sport, in my opinion.
Check out Spencer Mango:
I have no doubt that he'll be the next Olympic gold medalist.
I had the opportunity to see him wrestle when he was younger. He was in the same district tournament with my son. One of the years that my son qualified for State.
