Loss of a Friend...
Dropped in at gun shop today to visit with good friend and owner, Claude Simpson. Spoke with his wife for a moment and she tells me he has passed. Still at a loss right now, so sudden....
Hasnt sunk in yet.... Claude has 9 yr old son and his wife says she intends on keeping store going if business holds up so she can be off to be with him if need be.....
If any of you guys are looking to buy any firearms, ammo or accessories and are in the Tricities, TN area please consider paying the Gun Rack at 2808 Bloomingdale Rd Kingsport, TN 37660 a visit. I will be volunteering weekends, vacations as needed to help her out.
Claude was one of the finest men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and truly understood the meaning of the word "friend".
Please pray for his wife and son....
Thanks.....

Oh heck - 9 yr old son too. I am guessing this is way before his time and am as ever reminded of ''only the good die young"
Loss of a true friend is every bit as painful as losing blood family ..... the space left behind is unfillable. You have my sincere sympathies which are of course also directed toward his wife and lil boy.
Sad, very sad.

My prayers go up for his wife and son, and also to his friends and you you who loved and cared for him.
I lost a dear family friend to cancer 19 yrs ago who at the tender age of 40, left behind a husband and 3 kids. My life has never been the same since and all I can do is treasure the times and moments that we had together and be THANKFUL that she was in my life for such a short time. I'll never forget her.
That is the mark of a TRUE friend.

Sorry to hear about your friend. You're showing what kind of friend you are by helping out his wife and family. I expect he knows about and appreciates what you're doing to help....
