More surgery tomorrow....
Check in time is 0530 Monday morning (the 23rd), surgery at 0730 to repair a bulging disk in my lower back that is playing heck the nerves going down into my hips and legs.
This is (I hope) the last of the medical stuff left over from when I met Bambi on my Harley back in April of 2003. This surgery had to be put on hold last year when the cancer was diagnosed and I had the surgery for that and then the summer full of radiation treatments.
The bright side to all this is that after the recovery period, I may actually be able to carry concealed on my right hip again !!!!! Without so much lower back and hip pain, I might even be able to carry my Glock again !
Should be back home by Thursday if all goes as expected.

Hi Dave - best of luck with this and it'll be good to get it behind you - hopefully too a huge beneficial effect on the nerve root problem.
Be thinking of you and do drop back in at earliest opportunity and let us know how it all went.

I feel your pain...
At my age, if it doesn't hurt, it doesn't work...it's either too tight, or it leaks...that's life I guess.
I wish you the best...have a speedy recovery...

Good luck to both of you guys. I chose the Medtronics spinal stimulator over the cutting and welding of the discs. Made most of the pain in the backside and legs go away. Won't let them cut on me, knowing they are dealing with 4 discs. That much space, I may not be able to bend again. Hope everything works out for ya. Keep us informed.

Good luck and get well quick so you guys can get back to us. Seems like we've had lots of members going in for hardware upgrades/repairs a lot lately.
