We were lucky to buy our house. It is not only our homestead but the back porch is my "special place." Any time I need to relax, I just have to walk outside, sit, maybe listen to some music and enjoy the view.
PS: Good fishing too! Largemouth and Peacock!

Nice place ya got there Miggy. Guess ya can't shoot of your back porch like some members can, but fishing is very close to being better, especially if you grill your fresh catch.

Very nice I always wanted water out my backdoor. Here is my special place and it is a stress reliever also. Heart of California Central Valley.

Not really. It is South Florida after all... Lots of mosquitoes now and a mean mama possum that I can't figure out how to ger rid off without getting in trouble with the law.
And shooting from the backyard might upset the neighbors across the lake just a tad.
Confession: I don't like eating fish. So I am a stric catch and releae guy. I can swera there is a peacock bass I caught at least 5 times... dumb SOB but fights good.

That is a nice outlook Miggy - tho I can imagine the skeeters!!
I have often thought of being close to water and for coupla years we rented a place in a 450 acre lot ... with a view to a large pond, full of large mouth, bluegills etc. There I could shoot off porch too.
Now - we have our own lil' place and outlook at back is large cornfield and some houses spread around other sides ... but hey - my criterion for the place where I live is ..... does it feel like home? If yes, then I consider myself lucky.

Great pics guys. Much appreciated from a guy stuck in the suburbs for too long. I miss my backyard shootin range and all the stars at night. I got talked into moving into town by the Mrs. some years back and always regretted it. Rectifying that soon, getting rid of the Mrs. and the house in the burbs!

Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .
