Thanks for all your service, ron, and good luck in your retirement. I salute you.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

Thanks for putting in your time, Ron. I understand what you must be feeling, to a smaller degree. When I left EMS to change careers I had a bit of an identity crisis myself, After all, the job was who I was. At least if your ever in Michigan you can carry at all the off-limits places. Come on up when you get tired of nice weather.

Wish I could offer you a place to park yourself when it comes around, but Mom has our spare bedroom for ? how long. I have a tent you can use.

    Congratulations on your retirement.

My neighbor retired as a K9 a few years ago, and he missed it a lot. Now he hunts, fishes and travels where he wants when he wants. His wife has been bugging him to get a job, but he isn't interested. He has hobbies that keep him busy.

    Congratulations Ron

Thanks for your years of service.

Maybe you could look into being a virtual "Law Enforcement Consultant" here in D.C.

Bumper could put you on a virtual retainer,

I hear the Mods speak about there virtual pay, top notch, virtually speaking.

And all the virtual coffee and doughnuts from the virtual snack room you can virtually eat.

Or you could just do some well earned fishing, and drop by every once and a while.

    Stay Safe.

Great achievement Ron ........ congrats for sure and yes - also our thanks for your service time.

Life will I am sure feel strange for quite a while - a mix of feeling the freedom but also no doubt missing the old routine.

Have plenty to do - keep active and most of all - enjoy!
