    Dad-Da

My son called me Dad-da today, he is 8 months old and Dad-Da is his first word.

He looked at me this morning and said Dad-Da, just now on the phone he started saying Dad-Da. I think he really understands what he is saying, and is not just saying his usual baby babble.

Today has been a great day.

Great, I remember those days. Now I am in charge of 2 near teens girls who do their best to harrass each other most of the day (snow day). Enjoy your son while he is young.

I'm a little disappointed. I thought he would have said:

    "Da Da pee-grass-one~OH~one"

    Seriously Congrats! Mr. Proud Daddy!

I have always thought it amusing the way adults will act to get a smile out of a child. Try acting like that with another adult.

There is nothing better than the love of a child. Congrats.

I was happy when he first learned to crawl, even if I had to buy a pistol safe to go under the bed.

Dad-da is good enough for me

Of course 16 years from now I will be unhip or uncool are un whatever is in then but that's aways off now.

Got that right, but as any parent will tell you, the first 12 years are the best. Enjoy.

My son called me Dad-da today too! Of course, he's 30...

Congrats on his first words; now you will never shut him up!

They quickly go from "da-da" to..."Car keys, please?"

I love hearing those words! Da-Da has a great sound to it. Except at 2am, and again at 4am, and again at...

Awww... Congrats on the first words!! I remember when my niece started talking.

Her first word was "french fry."

Now it's, "Mom... Last night. A monster came into my room. And he told me he was going to eat me. But I told him that... that that would be bad. And. If he didn't leave I was going to get my Dad. And it really scared him and so he left. And then...."

    She has SUCH an imagination.

    Just you wait.

    Congrats again, Dad-da!

Do you have any idea how hard it would be to live with yourself if your loved ones were attacked and killed, and you had to stand there helplessly because you were unprepared for that day?
