After our loss in December we were discouraged but also hopeful and just before my birthday we got the wonderful news that we were expecting again.
Things did not go so well right away and in fear we were going to loose this baby as well we didn't tell many people.
The main fear was that the baby was ectopic (or tubal) and all we could do was wait until the baby was large enough to see on an ultrasound to confirm whether he was growing in the right place.
Well, we had that ultrasound today and we were overjoyed to SEE that baby is exactly where he should be and growing strong...
His length is just half that of a 9mm bullet coming in at just 4.5mms small.
I never thought a thing so tiny could have a heartbeat but beat his little heart did. We not only saw it but when the technician turned on the sound we heard the beautiful little "Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump." of his TINY little heart.
He is doing JUST fine and should be hatching sometime in mid November.
So without further adu... I give you "Lump" (as JD affectionately named him)...
