I just found out yesterday my 79 year old grandfather, my only surviving grandparent has stage 3 lung cancer. He is denying treatment. He know's it is his time to go. Please pray for him and my family. I plan on spending as much time as I can with him until his passing. I am thankful of one thing... he got to see his only great grandson be born. I am thankful for that.
Prayers on the way.
Very sorry to hear that. I'm sure his great grandson raised his spirits a bit. God bless.

I lost two grandparents in the same manner. I think its better for everyone and a noble choice not to put the family through the stress of a cancer battle esp. when the outcome is going to be the same. He is saving himself and your family a lot of pain.
Spend as much time as possible with him, I wish I spent more with mine. Get all the stories he has out of hime too, you dont want all that knowledge to go with him.

Sorry to hear that.
I'm glad my son was born 3 months before his Great Grandfather died, we got to take a picture of the two of them.
My prayers are with you and your family
A real man loves his wife, and places his family as the most important thing in life. Nothing has brought me more peace and content in life than simply being a good husband and father.
Thoughts and prayers to your entire family.
Sorry to hear this...

You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I lost my grandfather to the same thing last July. It was very hard for he was close to me. But take consolation in the fact that this isn't a forever thing. He's only sleeping until you guys can meet up together. And also remember that when he does go, he won't be in any more pain.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Cherish your moments with him and respect his decision. I know it is difficult. Many folks his age choose to give up their treatment so a younger person will be able to have the treatment and hopefully live a full life. My prayers go out to both of you.
I am very sorry to hear that!!! My Prayers are with you!
I will be praying for you and your family. I respect his decision so much.

Spend as much time with your Grandpa as possible. More importantly, speak to him about writing down some family history, to help fill in the blanks on your family. We were very lucky in our family to have had both grandfathers dedicated to doing just that towards the end of their lives, so this critical knowledge of where we came from was not lost.
Good Luck to you, and God Bless.

Thank you for all the support. I know he will be welcomed in heaven by God. He will be happy to be with my grandmother again who died 8 years ago. My next day off my wife, kids and I are heading down to spend time with him. I plan on doing this until he passes.
