    Thumbs up Interview!

    As some of you know, my employer of 13 years gave me the option of resigning or termination within a few days after I informed them that I was being moved to the top of the transplant list. That was a year ago, yesterday.

    Last month, I received a cold call from a local software company, and was phone interviewed and asked to submit a resumé. I heard nothing for nearly four weeks. Well, yesterday, I got a call from their Boston office, and they want to offer me a different position, and have asked for an interview, next week! Let's see....twice what I was making in my last position, a 7 minute commute away from traffic, telecommute one day a week, and no travel...hmm.

    Wish me luck! It's been 9 months since the transplant. I'm ready!

    Sounds like you had a boss like mine, I had a heart attack and he fired me while in the hospital bed. What a The next day he recanted (he found out that was illegal) and said he'd hold my job for a year, but I never went back. Good luck on your new job!!!

    Good luck!!! Sounds like a great job.

    I just got a new job myself, and was told that they planned on having me telecommute at least 3 days a week. I did it this week, it's awesome!
