    Never too early to learn

Our daughter & the grandkids came from Iowa for a late Christmas get together. I bought our granddaughter Gwen a Crickett rifle when she was born; she's only four now and still too young to shoot it. She wanted to see it so I got it out of the safe. While she was looking at it we had quite the chat about guns and safety. Her mom doesn't really like guns, her in-laws in Iowa aren't exactly anti but they don't own any.

When we went back to the living room where our daughter was and I asked Gwen what she would do if she was at someones house and found a gun.
"I wouldn't touch it, just look at it."
    "What else?" I asked.
"I would go find a big person and tell them".

Today, two days later I took this picture, as soon as I handed it to her the first thing she said was "Don't point it at anyone, right Grandpa?"
She still remembered the Eddie Eagle "don't touch, tell an adult" rules too.

I'm a child of the 60's, but I got over it.

    Nice !

    Great picture too.

    Grandkids are a treasure.

That's great. I started my son early, we practice gun safety with his toy guns, foam shooters, and air soft guns. He'll be 4 in May. Cute Picture.

Way to go, raising up a future generation that doesn't think guns are bad.
