A bit out of the loop.

I'll not be as active as I would like to be for a while.

One of my daughters has MS. She is having a recurrence/outbreak/or whatever. Her husband works a job that require a lot of travel -- albeit he can be home most weekends.

So, we have her, a 9yr, and a 3yr to take care of most week days.

As my wife had a very bad stroke a while back (Doing quite well, praise the Lord) and had her knee replaced last Fall (Again, doing quite well, also praise the Lord), she is not able to do a whole lot. So, my week days are rather full.

FWIIS -- Weekends aren't too open either. Today I am on line while waiting for the laundry. BTW -- Why can't the washer and drier cycle mesh?

Anyway, don't think I am bored, lost interest, etc.

    And prayers appreciated.

Life gets extremely busy at times and forces us to prioritize. I never have the time to do all I need/want.

Take care. I hope the best for your family.

Prayers sent, sounds like you have your hands full. But what I read from this post is you have been there for your family like a dad and husband should so it is needless to say God has provided help to those in need. He is doing his work through you. God bless

    Dave,

Your daughter is very blessed to have you for a Dad.

I'll say a special prayer for your family.

Let's pray for each other, my wife has advanced MS and is going through a "bad time" right now. I completely understand!

    DaveH and ElCruisr,

Prayer for both of you and your daughter and wife.
I am awed by your perseverance to being the kind of father and husband respectively that we are all called to be.

    God bless both of you.

    Wait and see

    Thanks for the prayers.

ELCruisr you and yours are in my prayers, also.

Got everyone down in bed. So thought I'd post a short update.

Finished the round of IV high dose steroids, today. So now it is wait and see time.

This time round, she has partial lose of feeling neck down, varying lose of coordination and strength in both hands and feet, and (the big one) significant memory lose (rather similar to a stroke). First time that both sides were effected in same outbreak.

The up-side is that her vision was not affected this round.

I'll keep trying to get on DC when they are asleep and on the weekends that the son-in-law can be home.

    Thumbs up

    Progress report.

    Good progress!

Took my daughter to her own home today for a trial at independent living. We did an inventory and stocked up the fridge & pantry.

Her coordination and strength are much better.

Her memory is improving, but still a bit of a problem. Set up a number of memory aids.

I'll go over from time to time. Friends and neighbors are also checking.

She needs to try to get things back to normal routine.

Good news! It must be going around. A few months ago, due to MS, my wife's intestines shut down again. Liquids only. A few days ago it looks like things started working again. Still struggling with some cognitive stuff but we take any good signs we can. Keeping you and yours in prayer!
