My prayers are with you and will go on to our prayer list at church. I can't tell you how very very desperate it got for me in 2005. There were days I didn't eat and if it hadn't been for people that love me and my church I wouldn't have had a roof over my head. I sent hundreds of inquiries but it did no good. Finally the job of my dreams came up and I had not even applied for it. It was the best thing in the world at the worse time in the world. It was an answer to many prayers.
You will find one soon>
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Prayers sent. I am sure it will turn around for you when you least expect it.

Arko - got you added to my prayer list and will be praying for you daily.
For those who understand, no explanation is necessary.
For those who don't understand, no explanation is possible.

You're on my prayer list...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
Wow. Thanks all. This is such a great little "community" we have here.
Truly touched by your support.
Tombstone: I do/did Occupational Safety and Enviro Mgt. (OSHA,EPA,etc) Most recently for a mechanical contractor. Cut throat business, even in good times. I simply became too skilled + expensive.
Right now, I'm looking for anything to get by.
"Don't Tread on Me"
Done. I am at FLETC (Firearms Instructor Training Program) and tomorrow is the final exam and final practical exercise and have asked for his help the last couple of days to get through this course. I just asked the good lord to give you priority.
Arko, I've been in your spot before. Even though everything looked really bleak, I asked God to strengthen my faith. I look back now, and I can see God's hand in everything that happened in my life.
With your background, you should check out federal jobs at:
USAJOBS - The Federal Government's Official Jobs Site
Contractors lay people off. The fed govt. doesn't. They might RIF a job, but they find another job for you.
I'll be praying for you.
Sometimes on a clear day, I can see into the future with this spotting scope.
Arko, sorry to hear about your job, but it sounds like you have your priorities right. Keep doing your part in job hunting--try not to allow some deadends to stop your searching.
+1 on Patti's recommendation, especially if local businesses aren't hiring now.
Are you able to move, or do you want to remain in the area?
Grady, Thanks.
Well, I love where we live, but the the longer I go without, the more willing I'll be to follow the money. I'm already watching the national jobs in case a dream job should happen to pop up.
Patti, thanks for the link. Looking now.
"Don't Tread on Me"
We're praying for you. You will come out of this better than before.
